Putting in 1 gallon, your conversion calculator spits out a value of .0407MWh. On another site, I read a discussion where the diesel engine/generators lose significant energy and showed calcs that were less than one fourth of this value. My question is, what diesel fuel calorific value (MJ) per unit weight (kg) is used and what energy loss, if any, is factored in?? Thanks much.
