If you are 5'8" tall, then you first need to convert to the decimal form for feet:

8 inches = 0.666666 feet

So your height is then 5.666666 feet.

Now you can convert feet to centimeters:

5.666666 feet = 172.72 cm

So for a 5'8" tall person, your height = 172.72 cm

If you use the "dot" to separate feet and inches:

5.8 height = 172.72 cms
