Since they measure different physical quantities (pressure per flow vs. volume per pressure), cmH₂O/(L/s) (resistance) and mL/cmH₂O (compliance) cannot be directly converted.
Together, they show up in the lung equation of motion:
𝑃 = 𝑉 / 𝐶 + 𝑅 ⋅ Flow,
Therefore, additional physiological data (volume, flow, and pressure) would be required to relate them.
