It's usually best to find the right AC charger for the job. You may be able to order a replacement part, or find a generic adaptor that can be adjusted to the right settings.
You need to match the voltage, polarity, and amperage. Your voltage is correct, but the amperage is low. When that happens, the AC adaptor can sometimes heat up and possibly blow the adaptor. You probably won't hurt the mini DVR camera, but even that's a possibility depending on the internal circuitry.
