It is true that 0.8 inches is 4/5 of an inch, but outside of surveying, fractions of a inch are in usually written as quarters, eighths, or sixteenths. To covert to sixteenths, multiple the decimal portion by 16. In this case, 0.8 x 16 = 12.8, so the answer is 7-13/16"
