That small centered dot is an interpunct. See the Wikipedia article "Interpunct". How you enter it on a keyboard depends on what the keyboard is attached to. If it is attached to a computer running Microsoft Windows in the US, hold down the Alt key, tap 0183 on the numeric keypad, then release Alt. On a Mac in the US, simultaneously press Option Shift 9
