to make s to ms you multiply by 1000
but when you make s^2 to ms^2 you have to multiply by 1000000 or 10^6
you have 1000/1000000 an you simplify to 1/1000
ex> 9.8*1/1000 = 9.8/1000 =9.8x10-3 or 0.0098
