Foot pounds convert to Kips   (02/27/2018, 3:08 PM)

Torqueing tie rod bolts on a bridge. The bolts are grade 150, 1"x16'. The bolts are used to secure girders of bridge deck together. Engineer's plans say to tighten to 69 kips, contractor has a foot pound torque wrench. We need to know what to set torque wrench to achieve 69 kips. The wrench also has a multiplier of X4 attachment to achieve higher ft lb. reading. Wondering if you could be of any help. Thanks
