I am designing a target system that falls over when hit by a bullet. (.223 caliber) At 100 yards the bullet has an energy rating of 929 foot pounds. How many pounds of force would be on the target itself. I am thinking of using a 10 inch diameter by 3/8 inch thick metal plate as the target. Thanks in advance.
