Ok, I've heard this, and that makes sense. But where exactly is this "typical mixture" codified? Is there some canonical definition of "typical carbon"? Is this typical on the earth? Typical at the North pole? Typical in the earth's crust? Etc. And why does convertunits.com use this typical number. I don't see it mentioned in any FAQ or such around here.
