converting one unit of measurement to another

I am in the process of changing the way I eat, what I need to know is how to convert teaspoons or tablespoons into gram. I need to consume 5grams of a product 4x a day. I don't own a scale and really don't want to be traveling with one in my car, could have legal consequences!
