Angry much? But what if increasing wages leads to increased consumer spending? We'd need more production and more jobs. What if increasing wages enabled more low-wage workers to escape from relying on government benefits? Theoretically, taxes would decrease (or, at least, not increase as quickly). With increased wages, more people could quit one of the two or three jobs that they previously needed just to make ends meet. We would have more happy people and more jobs to go around. I would guess that some of those happy people would come to this site to calculate their yearly income because they'd finally have the time and the incentive to so, and because it's easier than doing the math and a great deal more fun. Think about how much more you could complain about then. Then you'd be happy too! It's a win/win for all!
