If destructive testing is possible, then:
(A) Precisely cut and weigh a 0.100 m long x 0.250 m wide piece of the 4 mm thick membrane / sheet and clean it of any loosely adhering foreign matter like dust. The piece weighs, say, 'M' kg.
(B) Find the exact volume of this piece by water displacement method. Say, 'V' cubic metre. Or check the average thickness exactly and calculate the volume of the sample piece.
(C) The density is mass / volume. So, the density is M/V kg/m^3.

If destructive testing is not possible, then:
(D) Weigh the entire length of the membrane and find its mass in kg.
(E) From the length, breadth, and thickness (which must be checked) of the sheet, find its volume in cubic metre.
(F) From the formula in (C) above, you get the density.
