Salary Per Year   (07/17/2014, 6:16 PM)

The salary per year calculation starts with a calculation based on 2 weeks paid vacation. "As a simple baseline calculation, you can assume 2 weeks of paid vacation per year. That leaves 50 working weeks, and if you work a typical 40 hours a week, then you have a total of 2,000 hours of work each year." This makes no sense to me. Yes, you're only working for 50 weeks, but if it's paid vacation then you're getting paid for the time you're on vacation. Why is the calculation subtracting those two weeks if you're getting paid as though you were at work? By subtracting the two weeks, you're calculating the salary as though you're taking two weeks unpaid vacation per year. Am I missing something or is the page incorrect?
