(A) If a pressure regulator, with set downstream (regulated) pressure =/< 5.5 bar, is installed upstream the pneumatic valve in question, then the air consumption will not change. (B) If not, the consumption will go down. (C) If a valve needs air pressure of 6 bar to operate, it may not operate at all at 5.5 bar resulting in no air consumption. (D) In no case, will consumption ever increase!
