according to literature, there are two terminology of light units. First, the quantity of light source based on radiometric measurement as absolute physical quantity. Secondly, based on photometric measurement as relatif quantity related to characteristic of human eye, such as "lumen" and "lux or lumen/sqrmeter".
General lighting always involve the interaction of human eye and reflected light from matter.
