so you have a sheet that is 100 cm x 200 cm

if you cut it in half, then you have 2 sheets that are 50 cm x 200 cm

then cut each of those halves into 100 strips of 50 cm x 2 cm

That means for 1 sheet that is 1m x 2m, you end up with 200 strips that are 50cm x 2cm.
