There's a difference between pounds per foot, pound-foot, and foot-pound. They are all different types of units.
Basically, pound/foot is pound DIVIDED BY foot, while pound-foot (or pound foot) is pound MULTIPLIED BY foot.
So what you want is this page:

1 kg/m = 0.671968975 lb/ft
These units are all divided, not multiplied. The other example you listed is correct if you are multiplying the units.
